In this episode, Bruce talks about growing up in a family where his father was a business executive, and his mother was a psychotherapist. He followed in both parents’ footsteps. Bruce shares his love to interact with people through his company, CMI Teamwork so they have more possibilities, more freedom and more ability to make a difference and elevate their performance. We talk about Bruce's expertise working with family-owned business and taking the family dysfunction out of family business to help their business succeed. He tells a story about working with a family-owned business where the CEO had to have a conversation with his semi-retired father to get his father to stay home, stop interfering and allow the son to lead the company. Bruce shares he gets asked to help business teams who are having trouble functioning. He becomes the catalyst to help them perform effectively. He also gets contacted to help companies develop and execute strategic plans. Bruce talks about the Keyne Methodology that he utilizes to help companies execute their strategic plans. He shares a story about how a company turned their business around after ½ of their customers did not want to renew their 5-year contracts. They dramatically improved their customer service and now have one of the best customer service ratings in their industry in the country. Their profitability improved, customer retention improved, and their employee satisfaction ratings and employee retention statistics improved. We talk about Stupid Games and how Bruce utilizes these games as practice fields to help teams problem solve and collaborate effectively. Bruce notes that unlike sports teams and military teams, business teams do not typically practice. Through practice, Bruce helps them elevate their performance. Bruce shares a story about how he utilized Stupid Games to help a company overcome silos.
