Hello my practical people. Welcome to another episode of The Practical Therapist. Today, I will discuss how to create a list of what I like to call “functional first words”. This episode will be helpful if you have a toddler who is not yet talking or even an older child who does not seem to be talking at an age appropriate level. However, In order to create this functional first words list, you must first understand what constitutes a child’s first words and how many words a child should have by the time they reach a certain age.
Patient Information: 2 year, 6 month-old patient, diagnosed with cerebral palsy
