Adam Nemer is the former CFO of Kaiser Permanente and founder of SimpleMentalHealth.com. After his father's suicide, Adam secretly battled his own mental health challenges. Suffering years of his own suicidal ideation, a supervisor invited Adam to check in with the company's mental health services. What followed was a transformative experience that re-prioritized Adam's life, turning him from insurance executive to workplace mental health advocate. Guided by the realization that destigmatizing mental health challenges in the workplace not only led to better culture and retention, but increased the bottom line, Adam left Kaiser and formed Simple Mental Health to teach other executives and founders how to create a Mental Health First Aid kit for their own organizations.
