Let’s speak now to James Donald, executive director of the Department of Basic Education’s Programme for Entrepreneurship, Employability & Education. He says that education is an essential part of Freedom Month celebrations. He goes on to say that it is also an opportunity to showcase the role it plays in promoting social justice and economic empowerment. The major highlight is entrepreneurship education which he says is essential not only to shape the mind-sets of young people but also to provide the skills, knowledge and attitudes that are central to developing an entrepreneurial culture.
