Listen Later

Podcast 116

As the 2020 election draws close, there is a scheme underway. It is not a scheme that is being hidden. This is in plain sight. The socialist have cried for a $15 an hour minimum wage for some time now. The term “living wage” is thrown around like a lawn dart from the ’80s. The danger is being done by many states and cities across our country. The estimated cost will be 3.5 million jobs. Podcast 116 will discuss the liberals’ plans for creating a recession with minimum wage increases to try to win the 2020 election.

Creating a Recession with a new Minimum Wage

The minimum wage in more than 20 states and 26 cities and counties across the United States will increase starting on January 1st. Affecting more than half of the country’s population and marking the highest jurisdictional raise in U.S. history.

“Next year’s increase is … going to be seen as the highest number of minimum wage increases of any time,”Yannet Lathrop

“Next year’s increase is … going to be seen as the highest number of minimum wage increases of any time,” Yannet Lathrop, a researcher at the National Employment Law Project, stated.

Seventeen of the states and municipalities will surpass $15 an hour. Later next year, four more states and 23 more municipalities will raise their wage floors as well, according to NELP. Those working in the state of Illinois and the city of Saint Paul, Minnesota, will see their salaries increase twice in the new year.

Among the cities that have agreed to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour are Seattle and Petaluma, New York City. Seattle and Petaluma will maintain lower-wage floors for smaller businesses, while New York City will require all companies to pay workers $15 per hour.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Living Wage

An argument made by many of the millennial socialists is that they cannot make it on their current pay. The best example of this is with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Ocasio-Cortez has stated that she could not make it on the income she made as a bartender. That she would have benefited from a $15 minimum wage. The issue is AOC is not being truthful.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Remarks at 2011 Boston University

Ocasio-Cortez graduated cum laude from Boston University College of Arts and Sciences with a B.A. in 2011. She majored in international relations and economics. Keep in mind that she lived in New York City. A city that would allow someone with a degree in both fields to find a job using their college education. She chose not to.
