I say it all the time....a relationship, is just that. A ROMANTIC relationship, is simply a best friend whom you share bare flesh with. You should be able to sit with a person and enjoy their company before they share skin with you in bed. NOW, this is not to say that people that have sex before this are doing it wrong; however, building lasting intimacy BEFORE you share a bed, will create not only better sex, but a lasting connection. If you find that you get to know them, and you don't like who they are, or they don't mesh with the person, you can part a little happier. As always, do what feels comfortable for you, but don't shy away from intimacy, it truly is the building block to a whole relationship....ANY relationship. Romantic. Platonic. All of em.
