The strive for perfection that we as women put ourselves into is a recipe for a overwhelm. We not only do it for ourselves, but we also often unknowingly project it onto our children. This seems to just come naturally, because we have been conditioned to believe that perfect children put us in a better light. All of our relationships suffer, we wear ourselves down, and snuff out our authenticity, all to project an image built on lies.
While this episode contains references from the book, “Break The Good Girl Myth,” much of our sharing comes from personal experience. All of the ways we have bought into the myth of perfection don’t mean we have to stay there. It’s time to break free!
