On this podcast in conversation with Ash Schofied the CEO of Giff Gaff we explore social mobility, psychological safety and accelerating growth. Ash is in his 3rd year as CEO of giffgaff having joined the company back in 2013 as the Chief Marketing Officer. Born in North Manchester Ash didn't take the conventional route to the top job, opting for technical collage instead of A levels and a Degree. Having found his passion in marketing in his mid 20's he joined the mobile telecoms industry just as the sector was really taking off. Periods at BT Cellnet, Genie, O2 and Tesco Mobile followed as he progressed through the ranks in marketing roles before eventually choosing giffgaff. giffgaff's investment in culture and it's appetite to challenge the established way and improve it, chimed with Ash's own values and in collaboration with a wonderfully diverse and talented team, giffgaff has seen accelerated growth during his time there.
