I’m Shinji, an ordinary Japanese man in my 40s, exploring how to rebuild the way I live.
By paying attention to what I feel beneath my thoughts, I’ve been exploring and practicing the way of life I truly want.
Trying hard was painful. But even when I stopped trying so hard, I still struggled. After living that way for so long, I discovered that by genuinely prioritizing my own sense of ease and comfort, I could experience freedom and a deeper sense of richness in life.
Here, I share what I’ve learned through that practice, along with the ideas behind it.
In this episode, I talk about the idea that “you can become the person you want to be at any time,” and about a practical way of changing your reality from within—by paying attention to what you feel beneath your thoughts and bringing more ease, comfort, and a sense of safety into everyday life.
