Welcome to Reach Minds: Thoughts for Your Life Journey. Today, we will be exploring something that everyone seeks, and perhaps not everyone truly understands what Joy is.
The American Psychological Association defines joy as a feeling that arises from a sense of well-being or satisfaction and an internal driven state. Experiencing joy is different from feeling happy. Happiness comes and goes dependent on external circumstances. Joy on the other hand can be experienced even in adverse situations and is something more powerful — a constant companion, not something we wait for but something we can actively invite into our lives, every single day.
So, what’s the secret to experiencing joy? How does joy connect with gratitude? Is it the same as happiness, or is it something even richer? We will be uncovering how joy can thread through our everyday moments and how you can make it a lasting part of your journey as opposed to being elusive.
As Richard Wagner quote says, “Joy is not in things; it is in us."
