I write songs because
it is my favorite venue,
gathering all of my thoughts
from inspirations sought
that I send you...
My thoughts are
drops of cold water
on a red hot skillet
that dissapates....
each time they
enter my head
to my guitar I am led
cause poetry's seldom read
by anybody these days
And I have
no musical genre
I was never good at French
so when I get an idea
writing songs is a
way that I quench
all my creative time spent.
I guess I could
have been a plumber
fiddling around with
other people's pipes
Could have written a book
that nobody buys
filled with all of my
thoughts and
words comprised
I still might give it a try
but I'm a songwriting guy.
I wail out words
that amuse me
and some that are sad,
my talents constantly use me
but hey, that's not sad.
Cause everytime that i write
about some girl that I knew
I feel a little less blue.
Songwritiers are
a different breed
they have to vocalize
what they need,
and sometimes they bleed....
but songwriting
brings them relief.
So if you hear
one of my tunes someday,
I'm hoping that you will say
that it's better than O.K.
I hope you dance while it plays,
then I've succeeded
in some way
I hope you all sing along
to my latest song
and then I'll feel I belong
by writing my songs......
