In episode 17 of the M3 Bearcast, I talk about problems plaguing intelligent, creative, and sensitive people. Many creatives have difficulties feeling like their work meets their standards. It's been coined the imposter syndrome, but I argue that it's not a disorder in the classic sense. Everyone suffers from it, especially those pressured to rise to the top of their fields. Another significant issue is searching for meaning in work, life, and spirituality. I argue that the meaning isn't something you find. It is something you create. Lack of meaning is the most significant contribution to mental health problems of creative people and should be prioritized as much as the work itself.
