We wrap up Captain NetGru's birthday with some liberty at the pirate haven of Blackwater Cay.
What could possibly go wrong?
Everything.
The crew encounters a dying pirate carrying something more valuable than gold: a mysterious map pointing toward Gravewind Island, a legendary place said to appear only when the supernatural Dead Tide rises.
But the crew isn't the only group looking for it.
Enter Captain Mara Vex.
Mara wants the map, and she isn't interested in taking "no" for an answer. A pirate battle erupts, Mara's first mate ends up dead, and the crew escapes aboard The Poseidon's Eye.
Unfortunately, Mara follows them across the Great Sea.
The map has been stolen.
And the adventure isn't over! We're continuing the story with a special Rapscallion one-shot played on International Talk Like a Pirate Day!
Lance, the Gunslinger — Robert
Bob, the Matelot — Mike
Jago a Sparrow and the Mountbank — David
Buxom Bess, the Swashbuckler — Kellie
Captain NetGru — Guenter
Oh... and did we mention Captain NetGru once slapped the Queen?
Welcome aboard The Dragon's Eye!
Rapscallion from Magpie Games is a tabletop RPG about rambunctious pirates sailing the unpredictable Great Sea. Expect swashbuckling adventure, supernatural mysteries, strange magic, dangerous enemies, treasure, ship battles, and plenty of opportunities for things to go spectacularly wrong.

The Final Chapter of the Circle of Veritas...or maybe not
Case 1 of the new Candela Obscura book Horrors of the Fairelands
The Call:
While our Investigators are gathered at their chapter house a telegraph arrived from their Lightkeeper:
"Candela Obscura agent has been killed..."
Welcome to the Circle of Veritas, a Candela Obscura Real Play podcast by the Creative Play and Podcast Network. In the gaslit streets of Newfair, our brave circle of investigators faces ancient horrors, uncovering secrets while battling the supernatural. As they strive to protect the fragile veil of reality, listeners are taken on an atmospheric journey through the shadows that cloak their world.
Our circle navigates talents, relationships, and the eerie mysteries of a supernatural tome to collect gear and build trust. Can they maintain discretion and unity while facing the darkness that watches in waiting?
As new alliances form and old tensions fade, the investigators are summoned to the Librum Veritas to unravel secrets hidden in the heart of the Briar Green District. With every roll of the dice and strategic alliance, the line between the familiar and the unknown blurs. Stay vigilant, for in the shadows, ancient truths stir.
Our first full episode of The Circle of Veritas, our Candela Obscura campaign, is now live! In Session 1, our newly-formed Circle is summoned to the bookshop Librum Veritas and sent into their first case: mysterious deaths in a graveyard, sigils of ash and bleed etched into flesh, and rumors of war-dead walking again…
The circle must unravel the truth behind the haunted coin, lost soldiers, and a dark cult on the rise.
✨ Candela Obscura is published by Darrington Press, the imprint of Critical Role, and you can find the core book and quickstart rules at https://darringtonpress.com/candela-obscura.
