Meet Owen Bondono, a high school ELA teacher at Oak Park High School, located in the Oak Park School district in Oak Park, Michigan. In 2021, Owen was named the first known transgender  Michigan Teacher of the Year. He uses his platform to advocate for LGBTQ+ student spaces and anti-racist teaching practices.
