The workers are digging holes in the backyard for the Creator's Cottage, but Grandpa says digging isn't the first step. So what is? This week, we're wondering: how does something you imagine turn into something real?

To find out, we read When Grandpa Gives You a Toolbox by Jamie L.B. Deenihan, illustrated by Lorraine Rocha. It's about a boy who wanted a dollhouse and got a toolbox instead (and has some very dramatic ideas for getting rid of it). We also talk about why blueprints are blue, how the Creator's Cottage went from an idea to an architect's drawing, and how Grandma's high school graduation gift turned out to be better than she thought.

Wonder Challenge: Ask a grownup you love, "What's something you know how to do that you could teach me?" Grandparents, ask your grandchild the same thing!
