In 2009 fledgling production studio Overture Films was trying to find footing in an over saturated market. Desperate to turn a profit they secured the rights to an obscure George Romero horror title and enlisted relative newcomer Breck Eisner to craft a tension driven tale that focused on the suspicions of our government and neighbors.
