In the fall of 1988 MGM released a modestly budgeted film about an enchantress who lures an unsuspecting man into a dark underworld of mayhem, though it would be at the behest of another religious sect that the film be hidden by time and locked away in obscurity. On September 23rd, 1988 SPELLBINDER was released proving gods and monsters one and the same
