Credit Card Fees Revealed, Explained; Finding Freelancers Made Easier;

Pat Moran, payment executive and advisor, talks about the fact that for years, small businesses have paid high fees to credit card acquirers and processing companies, often without knowing. MasterCard has rolled out new standards, which went into effect April 1, that will require acquirers and payment processors to more transparently disclose fees. Under these new rules, they must give small businesses a minimum of 30 days' notice before they modify any fees related to MasterCard transactions. They are also required to provide business owners with a clear and detailed disclosure of the fees they are charged and how they are calculated.
Matthew Cordasco and his new startup, MyCrowd, are aiming to do something slightly different with the massively growing freelance market by helping out . well . startups. MyCrowd is the world's first crowd aggregator that connects businesses to a growing ocean of freelance talent. As an entrepreneur, he found that business is increasingly moving towards this efficient freelance model - owners and managers pulling in experts like accountants and graphics designers to address immediate short-term needs.
