Today we are discussing The Creekside Cabin in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
At the Creekside cabin in Sand Springs, you can reconnect with nature. This off-grid cabin is a unique experience that you can’t get anywhere else and at a price that is unbelievable. Seriously, it’s off-grid which means you have to park and hike in. Solar powered lights and a compost toilet are also part of this tiny house experience. A propane heater is available during colder months for an extra $15/night. The space is cute and your pictures will be the envy of Instagram. Truly an off-grid experience. Please consider the weather when booking because the cabin has no HVAC and is at the whim of the weather. You will be using a compost toilet and an outdoor shower is available.
Sand Springs is Oklahoma's only planned industrial town. In 1907, oilman Charles Page founded the town as an envisioned haven for orphans and widows. Proximity to Tulsa has fueled Sand Spring's growth over the years. Today, however, the town is developing its own distinctive character, stemming from its nexus of cultural sites and natural treasures. The 1300-acre Keystone Ancient Forest is home to 300-year-old cedars and 400 and 500-year-old post-oak trees, all predating the birth of the U.S. More of the area's natural beauty and recreational opportunities are found in Keystone State Park, a family fun haven featuring 22 lake-view cabins with fireplaces, picnic areas, tent campsites, a children's fishing pond and hiking trails.
