Is cremation biblical? Does the Bible talk about cremation, and is there any Biblical precedent for pursuing it (over traditional burial)? Back in 1960, only 4% of Americans were cremated. As of 2020, that number is 52%. So this is certainly a timely question!

To be clear: God can (and does) save His people irrespective of what happens to their bodies after death. This issue does not affect the status of one's salvation. And yet, it is still one people have questions about, and so it is worth exploring. Today's recording comes from a recent Wednesday night class, and covers multiple passages.

Questions That We'll Address:

1) Are there any passages that endorse or conflict with modern cremation?
2) How was burial done in days of antiquity, and does it have any bearing on today?
3) Does any of this matter? Does the disposition of one's body matter in eternity?
