The governance failures at France Cricket are not minor or isolated. France 24 reported on apparent ghost matches, games logged as real without taking place. Internal disputes have spilled into public view. Former French women's internationals wrote an open public letter that appears to have been ignored entirely. A recent Cricketer Magazine piece noted the ICC may place France Cricket on notice, which would be a meaningful step, but it does not explain how the situation was allowed to reach this point.

The ICC board is supposed to provide oversight and direction for international cricket. If a member body carrying this volume of unresolved problems can seat a representative there while remaining unrecognized by its own government, the board's capacity to hold members accountable deserves serious scrutiny. For a national team to represent France, there has to be a recognized national body standing behind it. Right now, that basic condition is not met.
