In the 12th  installment of the Crime Cast series we cover The Radium Girls! From 1917 to 1926, The U.S. Radium Corporation hired approximately 70 women (The Radium Girls) to perform various tasks that involved handling radium misleading them that they were completely safe. Unfortunately that was not the case and many of the workers began having mysterious progressive illnesses. By 1926 16 employees had died from radium exposure and many more were exhibiting radiation sickness. In this episode, we discuss all of The U.S. Radium Corporation's shady dealings from willingly poisoning their employees to covering up deaths with phony syphilis diagnoses  all the tangents in between!
