As summer begins its final descent, we reminisce about our childhood summers and the carnivals that would randomly pop up. This week we cover Carnies and the crimes committed by them. Dana enlightens us about the Carnival Mafia. Get ready for twists and turns with this bizarre story. Nydia tells us about Grady Stiles better known as Lobster Boy. This cray-sea tale of spousal abuse might just make you appreciate your butter-half. Cindy offers a layover in between stories where she shares travel misfortunes sent in by our listeners.
For dinner this week, Cindy cooked up a carnival fare of corn dog bites, shredded beef nachos, and Mexican street corn. For dessert, she delighted us with some lobster tail pastry and candy apples. The wine this week was a listener pick Moscato called Bartenura. Bartenura Moscato is crisp and refreshing, semi-sweet with lingering pear, tangerine, nectar and melon flavors on the finish, with a bit of spritz to keep everything fresh and delicious.
