A Brigham City man who admitted to assaulting a woman during a sexual encounter has been sentenced to jail and three years of supervised probation. Travis Wade Smith, 38, appeared before 1st District Court Judge Brandon Maynard on Nov. 10 and received a suspended prison term along with an order to serve 60 days in the Box Elder County Jail.
