There is a narrative being pushed that the blue, Democrat states are experiencing an increase in violent crimes because they are "soft on crime", but the truth is the crime is increasing EVERYWHERE on a national level. Yes, even red states that claim they are tough on crime. After looking into what's going on the Republican and Democrat policies are approaching crime in different ways. Republicans' solutions don't address the root of the problem, and want to implement quick fixes with long term prison sentences whereas democrats are going about creating policies that will make an impact on crime in the long term through rehabilitative measures. However, the issue is that our communities from residential to commercial are suffering NOW. In this episode, we discuss what's happened to cause an increase in violent crime and how did we get here? We also briefly touch on what is being done about crime, houselessness, developing a moral compass, work ethic and much more.
