Jeff Gurvis is an independent bloodstain pattern analyst from Chicago who has his roots at the Northern Illinois Police Crime Laboratory where he served as a latent print examiner, crime scene coordinator and bloodstain pattern analyst. He has taught several basic and advanced bloodstain classes for the FBI and the National Forensic Academy at the University of Tennessee as well as in service classes for Baltimore PD, Illinois State Police, Washington DC Metro among several others. Jeff also serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association for Identification (IAI) and is also a member of the International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts. He is active in casework in both latent print examination and bloodstain pattern analysis. In 2012, Jeff co-founded Visionations, where they developed CrimePad, a mobile based criminal investigation and crime scene software solution.
