Crimson Reign 2: Qi’ra’s Assassins Attack, Sabé Plots Against Vader & More Chaos Ensues - (CR2, DV20, Bounty Hunters 20, Doctor Aphra 18 & SW21) - Ep 104
QI’RAS ASSASSINS PREPARE AMIDST THE CHAOS CAUSED BY CRIMSON DAWN! For ep 104, the second batch of Crimson Reign comics is in Mike’s sight, continuing Qi’ra & Crimson Dawn’s efforts to disrupt the Empire’s hold on the galaxy. Qi’ra’s assassins; Ochi Of Bestoon & Deathstick attack, all while the four comics crossing-over with CR (Star Wars, Darth Vader, Doctor Aphra & Bounty Hunters), continue corresponding stories that will all line up very soon. Aphra continues to search for Ascendant artifacts with Sana Starros, Vader kills suspected Crimson Dawn collaborators, the Bounty Hunter crew searches for 4-LOM and Shara Bey tries to escape the star destroyer Tarkin’s Will without being noticed by the Empire…
This story is set after Empire Strikes Back & after the War Of The Bounty Hunters event, but before Return Of The Jedi and the reading order is BH20> DA18>CR2>DV20>SW21.
This episode was first released on the feed of Comics In Motion, in August 2022.
BH20 was released 12th January 2022 and was written by Ethan Sacks with Paolo Villanelli as artist and Bryan Valenza as colour artist. DA18 was released 19th January 2022, written by Alyssa Wong with Minkyu Jung as artist Rachelle Rosenberg as colour artist. Crimson Reign 2 was released 2nd February 2022 and was written by Charles Soule, with Steven Cummings as penciller, Victor Olazaba as inker and Guru eFX as colour artist. DV20 was released 9th February 2022, was written by Greg Pak with Raffaele Ienco as artist and Alex Sinclair as colour artist. SW21 was released 2nd March 2022 and was written by Charles Soule, with Marco Castiello & Ramon Rosanas as artists and Rachelle Rosenberg as colour artist.
Mike covered the first volume of Crimson Reign in episode 102 and he covered the prelude to Crimson Reign in ep 97 of SWCIC. For all War of The Bounty Hunters comics, check episodes 60, 64, 68, 72, 77 & 84.
