Between Alex the DM's cringe TikTok voice or the absolutely WILD energy that Aeryk brought to the table, it's pretty easy to overlook the casual mention of a cursed vat of souls Strahd keeps somewhere in his castle. I'm still out here wondering why Aeryk came through in the first place; all Julian did was try and spare the dying.
