So you're headed into your first clinical experience!  What should you do? What should you not do? How do you create a good learning environment for yourself so that you can be a successful SRNA.

Learning new information in CRNA school can be daunting! But there are so many strategies that are helpful for SRNA's to explore as they figure out which one works the best for them. Be open and learn how CRNA education differs vastly from the learning and study styles you are used to! 

Title 9!  Revisit the rules and regulations surrounding this federal law and how it affects our young female athletes! Many young women are headed to college to play sports at a very high level.  What ensures that they are given equity during those years of being a student athlete?  Understanding what is covered in Title IX and a few poignant events that encompassed shortly after it's passage will arm young women with what it means to participate in sports at the university level

Meet Darlene Cavalier!  Darlene is a great friend of mine! She is the founder of Science Cheerleaders, a non-profit organization of more than 300 current and former NFL and NBA cheerleaders pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math. They challenge stereotypes, inspire young women to consider STEM careers.  Darlene discusses her college career and her former position as a cheerleader for the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team.  When a citizen scientist makes it her job to involve young women in STEM careers, we should listen!
