Growing up in the 90's, the big fashion trend was ripped jeans.  Grunge was in, and everyone on TV was sporting torn and ripped jeans.  All my friends were wearing ripped jeans, and taking part of the trend.  I mean, everyone was in ripped jeans... well everyone but me!
