In this message from John 12:12–26, guest speaker Jared Price explores the expectations people bring to Jesus and what happens when He does not meet them in the way we expect. As Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds looked to Him for political freedom, healing, prosperity, and the restoration of their kingdom. Instead, Jesus came to accomplish something far greater: salvation from sin and the establishment of His eternal Kingdom.

Jared challenges us to examine why we follow Jesus. Are we seeking Him for what He can give us, or because we truly want Him? This week, we were grateful to welcome Pastor Brody Holloway from Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters as he opened God’s Word and walked us through John 13. In this passage, Jesus demonstrates what it looks like to love and serve with humility, even as He prepares to go to the cross. Through Christ’s example, we are reminded that following Jesus is not simply about what we know, but about becoming more like Him and allowing His love to shape the way we serve and care for others.

Where do you go looking for life?

This week, visiting pastor Chris Mills takes us to John 15, where Jesus spends His final moments with His disciples before the cross and encourages them not to let their hearts be troubled. Through this passage, we're reminded that real life isn't found in comfort, success, or our own efforts. It is found in Christ alone.

Psalm 139 should re-inflate your life for Christ by reminding us just how awesome our God truly is. When we have a high view of God, it shapes the way we live, knowing that He knows us completely, is always with us, and has created us with purpose.

1. I Can't Have Privacy; God is omniscient. He knows every detail of our lives, nothing escapes His sight, and His perfect knowledge brings both conviction and comfort.

2. I Can't Run Far Enough; God is omnipresent. No matter where we go, He is always with us.

3. I Can't Imagine the Details; God is omnipotent. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, created by Him and for Him with incredible purpose.

4. I Can't Have Secrets; God is omniholy. Nothing is hidden from Him, and His holiness invites us to examine our hearts.

As you listen, consider this final question: When you encounter God's truth, is it a thrill or a threat?

In this Sunday's sermon, we begin our a series through the book of Job.
