Christmas comes at the same time every year. Some things we want to make sure we repeat—spending time with family, finding a special gift that says "I love you," and enjoying a traditional meal. But with last year’s Christmas behind us, we can consider how we want "THIS CHRISTMAS" to be different. The thought of "THIS CHRISTMAS" brings the idea of making this year better than the last. It’s December, and by now, you should have started preparing for Christmas. Preparing might involve planning a trip, planning for guests, planning to give gifts, planning for a big meal…Christmas involves lots of planning. Christmas is about God’s plan to rescue and redeem people. In order for His plan to make a difference, we will need to prepare to embrace His plan. This weekend don’t just attend-come expecting to get prepared.

It is easy to find all the things going wrong in our lives and all around us. However, the greater discovery comes when we find contentment. It may be hard for you to believe, but contentment can be found and it doesn’t depend on your circumstances. Join us as we learn what the Apostle Paul discovered about contentment. Joy can be hijacked in broad daylight or in the stillness of the night. Your hijackers might be masked, or they might be known. If someone or something hijacks your joy, it is important to understand that your joy is recoverable. There is one authority who can and will restore your joy if you allow Him to. If you’ve been a victim and are missing some or all of your joy, this Sunday will show you how to take steps toward having your joy restored.

One of the most overrated emotions is happiness. It's overrated because experiencing it and sustaining it are two different things. We all want to be happy. Some people even desperately seek happiness. But often, what we do to create a moment of happiness can lead to years of consequences. This series will help you gain a new perspective on happiness and lead you to look for something that is more filling and lasts far longer - Joy.

Milestones mark significant achievements in our lives. As we wrap up Navigating Change, we will look beyond the books of Exodus and Numbers to see the Israelites finally receiving the Promised Land. God has things in store for us, and we, like the Israelites, need to be faithful and patient to receive God’s blessings. People do one of two things regarding their relationship with God: they either rebel against Him or choose to honor Him. The best way to honor God is to submit to His authority. The easiest way to rebel against God is to reject His authority. The choice is yours to make, and the choice you make will have a lasting impact. 

Living by faith is easier said than done. The most faithful people can struggle at times to live by faith. The lack of faith can easily produce fear and great faith can overcome fear. Come get encouraged and equipped this weekend so you can live by faith.

How does the fear of “what if…” creep into your heart? This fear isn’t your friend and it will keep you from trusting God. The best way to navigate change is to trust God through the changes. Trusting Him for the changes grows our dependence on Him. This week we will consider the value of wanting God’s presence more than the presents of His provisions. Invite someone to sit with you and let's overcome this fear together.

When navigating changes in our lives, we can become so overwhelmed by external changes that we may miss the opportunity for a positive transformation within our hearts. This Sunday, we will continue exploring the story of Exodus to see how following God through a season of change can lead to something greater than simply navigating it alone. As we reflect on the journey of the Israelites, we'll discover how God not only guides us through uncertainty but also works within us to deepen our faith. By trusting in His plan, we open ourselves to growth that may transform our character and purpose.
