Jesus divides the crowd, the sheep and the goats, by telling them the truth: come, follow and die. He brings them to the cross. And yes, this is discipleship. From the vantage point of Luke 9:23-25, Twister once said that “the cost of discipleship is the disciple’s life. Here, you attend your own funeral.”
What does this mean? Why is Discipleship deemed deadly?
