Today is Fall Launch Sunday and all of our pastoral staff will be sharing their vision for this upcoming year! We will also highlight the ways you can be involved at Crossroads through nurturing small groups, Bible Studies and retreats, as well as opportunities to volunteer and use your gifts and talents for the Lord. After service we will be providing complimentary hamburgers and hotdogs. Take a moment to share a meal with your community and faith. If you have to leave, please feel free to grab some to-go items! As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to overcome evil with good. Sadly, we live in a time we're wickedness and lawlessness abound. As followers of Jesus, we are called to live to a different standard. This Sunday, Pastor David will be sharing a message entitled "Do You Overcome Evil?" it will challenge your thoughts and beliefs of what it means to live a life of surrender to Jesus.

"Do You Have Dominating Peace?" The Lord wants His Peace to dominate our lives! He wants His peace to fill our hearts--the control center of our lives. Colossians 3:15 says, "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." Pastor Lynn Willis will encourage us to investigate whether the peace of God rules our lives. We will discover why we lack peace and how to embrace His peace in every area of our lives. His peace is your inheritance!

Centuries ago, Christians were warned to be careful about what they love. The Bible tells us in the last days. These people will become lovers for themselves however, that was never God’s plan. God’s plan was always that we would love His Word, live His Word and share His Word. Today, Pastor David preaches a sermon entitled: Do you love His Commandments? This message will challenge you in your faith and your understanding of what we should do is believers and how it impacts our daily lives.

Today Pastor Lynn will be preaching the message, "Do You Recognize Jesus?" Although Jesus' Disciples were with Him daily, there were times they simply did not recognize Him. The religious people were familiar with the Holy Scriptures, but they did not recognize Jesus. They thought they knew God! Jesus provided a warning to His followers because they did not recognize Him; He also wept over His people because they did not recognize Him. When we do not truly recognize Jesus we have become hard hearted and lack passion for Him and His mission. Today, we are going to ask ourselves the question, "Do we recognize Jesus in our lives or have we replaced our passion for Him with other things?" Let us come together to allow the Holy Spirit to expose areas of our lives where we need a fresh baptism of love for Jesus so that we recognize Him!

Today, Pastor Lynn returns from her sabbatical with the message, "Do You Bear Fruit?" The fruit we daily bear is a manifestation of the presence of Jesus in our lives. The greatest expression of fruitfulness is the love of God pouring from our lives to others. In a dark world filled with violence, confusion, selfishness and fear, Christ followers are to be His life and love to the people around us. We are to be His atmosphere changers because we carry His glory. Jesus wants the foremost fruit of our lives to be His presence and power that flows from within us to the world around us.

Today, Pastor Lynn continues our series with "Do You...Bless?" A central aspect to our relationship with the Lord is that He LOVES to bless His children. According to Scripture, we are in a relationship of blessing. Even from the very beginning in the book of Genesis, the word, “bless” was stated multiple times. While our modern westernized culture often equates being "blessed" with material wealth or favor with humans, the biblical definition is rooted in a deep relationship with God, spiritual fulfillment, and the multiplication of life. In this word, Pastor Lynn explains how our relationship with the One who blesses us makes us a source of blessing to others.
