Today Pastor Lynn continues our sermon series with the message, "Do You Fight Discouragement?" Discouragement can be deadly to our spiritual lives and even our life aspirations. The enemy loves to discourage God's people through their circumstances and through other peoples' voices. In both the Old and New Testaments God's people faced discouragement! The Lord understands we can become discouraged and has provided safeguards to help us through these times of discouragement. Pastor Lynn provides practical lessons on how to fight discouragement and safeguard against its' insidious impact.

In a world of people not wanting to be told what to do, we find confusion, anger, and sadness. Today, Pastor David shares a message entitled, "Do You Follow Instructions? Be challenged by the Word of God to you on this important matter.

As we enter the Fall season, we are surrounded by changes and the harvest naturing. In the spiritual realm believers a are called to see that the spiritual harvest is ripe for harvest. Today, Pastor David presents a challenging message about seeing our lives as harvesters for the glory of the Lord.

Jamil Stell is one of our Chi Alpha University Pastors to the Universities of the Central Valley of California. He is a overseer of the Chi Alpha Campus Pastors in this region. Chi Alpha's mission is to make disciples on secular college and university campuses.

Rev. Ryan Wright is a great brother in the Lord. Pastors Lynn and David have known him for decades and watched his love for the Lord and people. He attended Bethany College in Scotts Valley and pastored a number of churches in the Bay Area. He is a second generation minister and has a great anointing on his life. Currently Ryan is the Founder and Director of the Wright Wellness Group, a ministry he started to help first responders. Ryan has walked with the police and fire through the rubble of Ground Zero at the World Trade Center. He assists the Santa Clara police and fire departments through the stress associated with being a first responder. He also works regularly with local funeral homes to assist families in our community who are in crisis.He is currently employed by the City of Santa Clara as the Wellness Coordinator for the police and fire departments. Best of all is his ability to integrate God's Word with everyday life's challenges. He is a great preacher and lover of God's Word. You do not want to miss hearing this powerful communicator.

Pastor Lynn will continue our series with the message, "Do You Have Confidence?" Scripture teaches us that faith and confidence go hand in hand. It also reveals that our confidence increases when our surrender to the Lord increases! One of the greatest battles we face is relinquishing our own control and surrendering to the Lord. The truth is there is danger when we insist on doing things our own way. But, when we surrender to the Lord we find safety and assurance, and the result is that our confidence is built. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

One of the most misunderstood yet most beneficial gifts God is given to the believer is ability to pray in the Spirit. The gift of Baptism in the Holy Spirit was promised by the Lord to His followers on the day of Pentecost. The Apostles an Early Church recognize the importance of this gift and encourage believers to exercise it daily. The Bible even tells us not to forbid speaking in tongues. However, far too many believers currently fail to embrace the fullness of this gift. Today, Pastor David will be addressing the subject and how it plays such an important part in the lives of the believer.You will not want to miss this today's sermon.

Pastor Lynn will continue our series with "Do You...Proclaim the Lord's Name?" Hebrews 12 tells us the saints and the angels proclaim our Lord's name in the heavens and we are to daily join in this proclamation. However, the temptation we face is to focus in on our problems, battles and challenges and, as a result, focus in on the activity of the enemy. This causes us to declare and magnify his name in our lives. Pastor Lynn will challenge us to proclaim the name of our Lord know matter what we face. We will be challenged to exalt the Lord's name in the earth and by doing so render the enemy silent and powerless in our lives and circumstances. You do not want to miss this message!

Today is Fall Launch Sunday and all of our pastoral staff will be sharing their vision for this upcoming year! We will also highlight the ways you can be involved at Crossroads through nurturing small groups, Bible Studies and retreats, as well as opportunities to volunteer and use your gifts and talents for the Lord. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to overcome evil with good. Sadly, we live in a time we're wickedness and lawlessness abound. As followers of Jesus, we are called to live to a different standard. This Sunday, Pastor David will be sharing a message entitled "Do You Overcome Evil?" it will challenge your thoughts and beliefs of what it means to live a life of surrender to Jesus.
