Calaena has won the competition making her the King's champion and one step closer to freedom. Little does everyone realize, she is far from loyal to the crown. As she has to go through great lengths to hide her secrets, it becomes more dangerous when there are others in the playing field. Her search for answers threatens everyone she is close to especially Dorian, Chaol and Nehemia. It all leads up to a terrible night with a crushing tragedy.
