One day, 9Planets was watching a doc on Mars and they played some crazy synth sounding wav's that NASA had recorded and he turned the gear on and got to work. Each planet track is inspired by the planet through readings and video. He was able to find some actual space sound recordings from NASA as well and he figured if you dig his music, you will dig exploring that.
