Individuals internalize the social expectations that surround gender norms. Fortunately, things are changing and people are challenging those antiquated ways of thinking. On this episode, I interview Arjun Banerjee and we talk about how the journey or gender can be constant. Looking at gender as a galaxy removes the limitations of the binary and that creates a space for Arjun to make feminine sex noises and me masculine ones. We also discuss Bipolar disorder and growing up Indian.

Food for thought: The term Trans*, including the asterisk, serves as an umbrella term that includes all gender minorities. The term Trans* demonstrates an understanding that persons can be in a constant transition and continuously be on the journey of becoming. Trans* breaks down the expectation of performance, this approach combats the stereotypical ideas of a transgender person.
