From the goodness of creation, to the fall of our first parents, Scripture reveals Christ as the Seed of the Woman who would crush the serpent’s head.

Genesis 3:15, often called the protoevangelium or first gospel, points forward to the virgin birth, the incarnation of the Son of God, and Christ’s decisive victory over Satan. In the garden, we see God seeking the sinner, providing a covering through the shedding of blood, and preaching the gospel Himself – establishing the pattern of salvation by grace.
