Oh Cryptids, Cryptids, Cryptids. How you have enriched our lives with tales of wonderous monsters and urban legends.

Just a shame that the depictions of them in these films prove to be less-than-legendary.

Not even Laura Linney can save us from a "bold" retelling of the Mothman legacy. And not even Jesse Plemons can save us from the little-bit-kinda-racist use of the Wendigo.

Disappointing watches, but we had fun laughing about them!
