Prof. Fred Piper looks at some of the significant changes that have taken place in cryptography since the Second World War.
The discussion concentrates upon the effect of the advent of digital computers, the changing attitude of governments and the advent of the Internet. In particular it examines cryptography's importance to our ‘everyday lives’.
