Citibank abandons their Citicoin blockchain project and chooses to focus their efforts - for the time being at least - on strengthening the incumbent SWIFT network. Considering they've been working on the project since 2015, this is an interesting move.

The highly anticipated Bakkt exchange launch has - once again - been moved back. Despite the delay, Bakkt has announced an initial 58 cryptocurrencies to be supported. And while this is a massive step up from just Bitcoin as originally planned, this does mean a far broader range of technical challenges for the ICE group to consider.
