Lord Jesus, open our ear to hear God’s word. Give us a word we can feed on and which supplies our need. Amen, Lord Jesus, our life and our service is wholly dependent on Your Word. Our life hinges entirely on Your speaking. Incline our ear to hear Your word. We want to sit at Your feet, dear Lord, and receive Your speaking. Save us from merely doing things for You without having Your command. May our ear be at the doorpost, listening attentively to You and having Your speaking day by day. Amen, Lord, cleanse us by the washing of the water in the word to produce us as Your bride, the church, that matches You in every way!
