Intersex hosts, Paul and Cody, welcome international intersex advocate Crystal Hendricks to The I in Us.

Crystal Hendricks (she/her) is a queer intersex feminist and human rights defender.  Crystal has been at the forefront of advocating for policy change for intersex people.  She currently serves as the Sex Characteristics Programme Officer at ILGA World. In addition, she formally worked as the Intersex Programme Officer at Iranti, a regional organisation based in South Africa, as well as the Acting Administrator for Intersex South Africa.  She is also a former Rainbow Advocacy Fellowship scholar.

With over seven years of experience in intersex advocacy, Crystal’s work is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring that intersex people can freely exercise their rights and freedoms. Her passion lies in placing intersex issues at the forefront of policy discussions and ensuring that intersex voices lead the conversations that shape their lives.
