‘BRO Next betekent voor de (D)OOH-markt een grote sprong voorwaarts’
De eerste aflevering van de nieuwe serie CSDM Podcasts (DOOH Today) staat helemaal in het teken van de lancering van BRO Next. Wat zijn de achtergronden van dit uitgebreide en geavanceerde ‘bereiksonderzoek’ buitenreclame. Hoe kwam het tot stand? Op welke pijlers rust BRO Next? Wat is de betekenis ervan voor de (D)OOH-markt? Wat waren de eerste reacties? En welke interessante updates zijn er op termijn nog te verwachten?

Verder bespreekt CSDM COO Mark Veenman, in de vaste rubriek CSDM Update, de nieuwste ontwikkelingen binnen CS Digital Media. Deze keer over de reclame-concessie van het metronetwerk in Rotterdam, de uitbreiding van reclamemogelijkheden in Amsterdam en waarom CSDM zich heeft aangesloten bij het BRO.
‘De beelden knalden van de schermen. Je moest er wel naar kijken!’
Op zaterdag 4 november deed CSDM voor de derde keer mee aan de Amsterdamse Museumnacht met een eigen digitaal museum. Dit jaar stond metrostation Amsterdam CS helemaal in het teken van AI (artificial intelligence). Op 56 digitale schermen werd van tientallen kunstenaars AI generated kunst vertoond.
Ook konden bezoekers zelf experimenteren met AI via een speciaal ontwikkelde interactieve applicatie waaraan een camera was gekoppeld. Last but not least was een AI-videoclip te zien en te horen (via een silent disco-installatie) bij een nieuw nummer van de Nederlandse powerpopband JOHAN. De muziekvideo is gemaakt door AI-kunstenaar Amalia de la Vega en laat op een fascinerende manier zien hoe de grenzen tussen kunst en technologie vervagen en hoe dat kan leiden tot een betoverende, esthetische ervaring in een andere wereld.
In deze podcast wordt op locatie gesproken met Mark Veenman (COO CSDM), Constant Brinkman van Dead End Gallery (’s werelds eerste AI Gallery) en AI-kunstenaars Dimitri van der Werf en Martijn Baarda.
Aan de orde komen o.a. de mogelijkheden (en – vooralsnog - beperkingen) van AI, de razendsnelle ontwikkeling van deze ‘revolutionaire’ technologie, de invloed van AI op media, advertising & kunst en hoe kunstenaars in de praktijk met AI te werk gaan.
Constant Brinkman (Dead End Gallery): ‘AI wordt volledig geaccepteerd gereedschap voor mensen, of ze nu kunstenaar zijn of niet, waarmee je fantastische dingen kan doen. Alleen in die zin al zal AI zorgen voor een revolutie in de kunstwereld […] De CSDM AI Gallery vond ik echt waanzinnig. De beelden knalden van de schermen van een paar meter breed en een paar meter hoog in your face. Als je er langsliep moest je er wel naar kijken!’

CSAT-collega, developer en F1-kenner Wim Hummel gaf een korte toelichting op deze kwalificatie, terwijl Tieme Kraamer (applicatie & databeheerder CSAT) de laatste minuten van deze race live van deskundig commentaar voorzag.
Verder spraken we met Morris Nieuwenhuis (sales) en Nathan van Gisbergen (sales) over wat een sponsorevent als de F1 onder meer voor hun contacten met klanten betekent. Marlotte de Jager (marketing & communicatie) vertelt vervolgens hoe we CSDM tijdens de F1 op diverse digitale kanalen zichtbaar maakten. COO Mark Veenman schetst ten slotte een algemeen beeld van de relatie tussen CSDM en de
CSDM is voor het derde jaar corporate sponsor van de Dutch Grand Prix op Zandvoort. Elk jaar ontvangt CSDM daar klanten en relaties voor een hapje en een drankje, een goed gesprek en om samen te genieten van het wervelende Formule 1-programma met Max Verstappen.
CEO Radjen van Wilsem praat in deze podcast over de achtergronden van het sponsorschap, de verwachtingen, de resultaten en de reacties. ‘De F1 is het premium event dat we “hebben”. Het past perfect bij de policy die we hanteren met onze netwerken, de kwaliteit van onze dienstverlening en het merk dat we willen laden.’
Op zaterdag 5 november deed CSDM voor de tweede keer mee aan de Amsterdamse Museumnacht. Deze keer was metrostation Amsterdam Centraal omgetoverd tot CSDM’s NFT Gallery. Op alle 56 schermen waren indrukwekkende digitale kunstwerken te zien en via een QR-code ter plekke te koop.
In deze podcast wordt op locatie gesproken met Wouter Kloosterman (mede-oprichter en CEO van NFT-platform Authic), NFT-kunstenaar Frank Tjepkema, Radjen van Wilsem (CEO CSDM), Mark Veenman (COO CSDM), Marlotte de Jager (Marketing & Communicatie CSDM) en Leon Roosendaal (Sales CSDM).
Zij praten onder andere over de kracht van NFT’s in de publieke ruimte, de NFT-markt, het concept, de organisatie en het succes van de NFT-gallery en waarom CSDM zich aan grote events als de Museumnacht verbindt.
De 50ste CSDM Podcast begon met een bescheiden jubileumapplausje waarna een voor de vaste luisteraars vertrouwde crew (anchor en CSDM CEO Radjen van Wilsem, Willem te Wierik en Leon Roosendaal, beiden sales en Sebastian Op het Veld van MyAdbooker) de revue liet passeren wat pakweg het afgelopen half jaar State of the Market was.
Besproken werden de trend bij bureaus om afdelingen op te richten waar digitale omnichannel planning centraal staat, de boost die programmatic kreeg door corona en waarvan het effect na de pandemie aanhield, dringen aan de uitgang voor Q4 en verschuivingen – of beter gezegd verbreding - in de groep DOOH-toetreders.
‘Toen ik voor MyAdbooker als accountmanager programmatic sales ging doen stapte ik een nieuwe wereld in. Veel bureaus wisten nog niet zo goed wat programmatic was, wat je ermee kon en waar het onder viel. Onder online of juist onder out of home? Toch hebben we in die tijd al hele toffe campagnes gedraaid’
Onder leiding van Sebastian Op het Veld van het jubilerende MyAdbooker praten Leon Roosendaal (sales), Zarin van Ophem (sales) en Stephanne Klatte over deze pioniersfase in programmatic sales.
