Cabrera, a 27-year-old right-hander, had a career-best year with the Marlins, posting a 3.53 ERA and 150 strikeouts in 137.2 innings. His underlying metrics were impressive, and he demonstrated consistency late in the season. Acquiring Cabrera wont be easy, as the Baltimore Orioles are also interested, but he would significantly boost the Cubs rotation.
