If so, does that provide a role for Owen Caissie?
Will Matt Shaw fill in for Hoerner if he gets traded? Busch and Paredes are also on the trade block, possibly. We discuss Santander, Alonso, Walker, and others to upgrade in hitting homers and driving in runs. Will Seiya play RF or DH next year.
For injuries and roster moves: Nick Madrigal, Patrick Wisdom, and Mike Tauchman were non-tendered/DFA. Paredes, Steele, Pearson tendered contracts. Cubs also tendered contracts to Merryweather and Keegan Thompson. They traded minor league OF Alfonsion Rosario for RHP reliever Eli Morgan of the Cleveland Guardians.
