It’s everyone’s favorite week – CULT WEEK!

This week, we’re going to discuss The Brethren and Synanon. Dreia is up first with a history lesson that leads into the beginnings of the cult called The Brethren. Even though it sounds like a bunch of vampires, it’s way less cool than vampires. The Brethren can trace its lineage all the way back to 1708 and it still exists today.

Next Maggie is going to tell us all about Synanon – the cult that started as an organization to help people recover from addiction! Sounds good, right? Well, it was great up until the cult leader decided that everyone needed to shave their heads, stop having children, and start beating up people who oppose them.
