Lesson 187: Cultivate Great Friendships

This can suck sometimes but it's just a fact in life: it's about the people you know. Now, there are times merit counts sure but more often than not, that person got that opportunity because a friend pointed it to them. A friend dropped their name. A friend to a friend remembered that they are great a that required skill. So, yes, the friendships you build are important. Now, do not build friendships because of what you can get from the people but rather from what you can give to them.
