Braving the Way with Dr. Fletch

Cultivating a healthy relationship with food and your body with Dr. Morgan Francis, therapist, speaker, and owner of Scottsdale Premier Counseling

Listen Later

In our second-to-last episode of the podcast, I have to say that it's been an incredible journey over this first season and I'm just so grateful to all of you for being here. Today I'm speaking with Dr. Morgan Francis, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. She has over 20 years of experience working in mental health and specializes in the treatment of Body Image and Eating Disorders, Self Empowerment, Sexual Compulsive Behavior, Mood Disorders, Relationships, and Trauma. In 2017, Dr. Francis founded Scottsdale Premier Counseling, a private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona providing individual, couples and group therapy.

Listen in for our conversation discussing her own personal struggle with an eating disorder and how she walked the journey back to herself. Now, incredibly motivated to help others, Dr. Francis is working to improve the relationship between ourselves (and with ourselves) and food. It's more than the food we eat, it's about our mindset and mental health, our perspective of the diet culture, what we talk about with our children, positive affirmations, and approaching our bodies kindly and with love.

Dr. Francis is a nationally recognized treatment specialist whose work has been frequently featured in the media. In 2019 she was recognized by fitness clothing brand, LuLu Lemon, as a female leader making a difference in the community for her inspiring work with body image. Additionally in 2019, Dr. Francis was featured in the KNOW BOOK. The Know Tribe features the most dynamic female business owners, leaders, and philanthropists. Dr. Francis was selected to be a speaker at the 2019 Know Tribe Summit on “The Psychology Of Personal Style" and in 2018, Dr. Francis was a speaker at the Powerhouse Women’s Event alongside Lori Harder.

Stay tuned for Dr. Francis' launch of her intuitive eating course launching in 2023!
