On today's episode, Pamela and I discuss the role of personal identity and how that affects our health journey. We talk about ways we can shape, mold, and cultivate an identity that serves us and propels us forward into becoming the type of person that we want to be.
Identity is created by our beliefs and habitual behaviors. When we think about the type of person who engages in healthy practices, it becomes easier to embody and ultimately become that type of person.
We discuss how setting intentions for what we want to do and then building positive affirmations and future self journaling can help us cultivate the type of person that we'd like to become.
We have to take stock of how we identify ourselves if we hope to change for the better. It takes a level of awareness to notice how we identify ourselves to the people around us. Perhaps even how others choose to identify us and how we soak that up. In knowing these identity traits, we can work to change them if we wish.
